At Explorer Dome, we are keen to share skills and best practice we have learned over the last decade or so! We therefore enjoy working with other science communication organisations. We have had joint presenter training days with At-Bristol, Techniquest and INTECH Science Centre. In addition to sharing skills by leading conference workshops at BAP (British Association of Planetaria), BIG (British Interactive Group) ASE (Association for Science Education) and STEM conferences, we have also been involved in communication/presentation training at a number of external organisations such as Generation Science (Edinburgh International Science Festival outreach) the Hands-On science teaching modules on the science commuication MSc at UWE and the Bath University PGCE.
We now offer more than shows alone for corporate clients interested in enhancing communication and presentation skills within their organisation.
Explorer Dome has also worked at some of the best science festivals and astronomy events in the country including the Edinburgh International Science Festival, the Cheltenham Science Festival, Science in the Peak, Telescope 400 at Syon Park and Close Encounters at the Royal Albert Hall.
We thoroughly enjoy working locally with events at At-Bristol, the Bristol Festival of Nature and the Bristol Harbour Festival. We have also worked further afield on the forces bases and international schools in Cyrpus and we've partnered on projects in South Africa with the South African Astronomical Observatory.
Explorer Dome is currently working with Graphic Science - we are the delivery partner for the South West region of the UK for a Wellcome Trust funded nationwide project known as SMARTER UK.
